Alp.Casa Volunteer Place is a SHARED room which you pay a low price for in exchange for help not only in keeping the place in top condition but also to help with world bettering programs such as our Biodiversity.Vision - You might be the only helper or joining others. The Alp.Casa itself has a FANTASTIC Alp view. The responsibility to select the right person to volunteer lies much with you yourself because if volunteering with us does not suit you it surely does not suit us either, because we only want to have happy volunteers. So if you are considering volunteering you really need to understand what is on offer and if that is suitable for you and if you have what it takes.
You must be able and willing to help about 3 hours per day. (This does not include cooking and your fair share of cleaning after volunteers) Depending on the situation you can help by cleaning, deep cleaning, with creative work perhaps based on your particular skill set and communication -in particular finding contacts and sometimes with translations. For translations you need to be fluent in English or German, plus in a third language.
Volunteering at our side and studying or working somewhere else is not compatible as you would not have enough time including the commute. But doing two of these activities if one of them is online might be possible. This place is not for anybody who smokes, uses drugs or needs alcohol.
Sometimes we are not there ourselves. There may very well be some longer term guests or volunteers or not. In any case we can communicate online.
This is not a cheap place to stay except for true volunteers. You could help with some of the following:

Your room
Your room
Your room is a mixed shared room. You must be neat and treat people on an egalitarian basis and be able to have positive communication with a variety of people. There is NOT a lot of space in the room, (you may be sleeping under a low roof), but the apartment is spacious enough. You can see mountains all over Switzerland but seeing the Swiss Alps so up close and personal makes the difference plus the lake view in front.

Alp.Casa Volunteer Place offers the opportunity to get to know other international volunteers. It's an open, free space to exchange experiences and to do things together. Longer stays are recommended. If it works out well in the Swiss mountains you could choose to transfer to our magical place Washistu.Casa in Rif, Iceland.
