About the place
Backpackers Casa is a beautiful apartment, located in the Swiss mountains. It's a community shared property which means you'll share the appartment with other people. Depending on your booked room, you can stay in a shared room or in a private room. There are 3 rooms in the property; shared room (star view), private room (Alp view) and another private room (lake view). Backpackers Casa offers you enough facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are 2 bathrooms, of which one includes a shower and bad, a kitchen with extensive equipment, a relaxed living room and a balcony. The "gym" on the balcony has great view. It has a rowing machine and some weights. From there you can see lake ägeri, the uri alps, the rigi range, Fronalpstock and on good days the Juri mountains in France. The historical site of Morgarten below. In addition, if you come by car it's possible to park for free on premises and street parking.
The Alp.Casa itself has a fantastic Alp (weather permitting) and lake view. You can see mountains all over Switzerland but seeing the Swiss Uri Alps so up close and personal makes the difference. The addition of a lake in front adds to the magic. To increase your likelihood of enjoying the fantastic view, longer stays are recommended. Restaurants within a 10 m drive, Spas within a half an hour and the cities of Zürich, Lucerne and Lichtenstein within an hour drive.
Community Share
It's important to note that the whole appartment is community shared which means you can have other people around you. Your room and the rest of the apartment is shared, including 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, the living room, balcony and other rooms except when they are booked as private rooms. It depends on the season how busy or quiet the apartment will be but please note that the shared room can sometimes become overcrowded. The rest of the apartment has enough space to do your thing and enjoy the view.
It is possible to do volunteer work for less payment of the accommodation per night. We are a community of people that like to help with good causes. There are many opportunities to commit to this. For a list of possible volunteer tasks, click on the page especially for volunteers.
